I'm going to buy my first bench press?

I'm 16 and am looking to start building the body. I have been working in a gym at home but not very effective. I was thinking about joining the gym, but many of my friends have a membership and I know I'm probably only going to talk and my friends are not productive and usually only see who can dead lift more. Is there a bench press marks should I look? And do any banks come with a basic exercise plan I can use?
