The Rise and Fall of Rod Beckâs Baseball Net Career
Baseball careers can fall into the baseball net of despair as fast as they began to rise. Because of off the field issues for example with drugs and pain from past injuries a great human being like Rod Beck would fall into this baseball net of despair. Beck was the closer for the San Francisco Giants for many years as they won several NL West Titles. A baseball net cast Beck into a different direction as he was traded to the Chicago Cubs. Beck used that baseball net as a positive by helping the Cubs win the NL Wild Card in 1998. As the baseball net of fate would have it the game that the Cubs played to win that NL Wild Card was against Beck's old team; Dusty Baker and the San Francisco Giants. In an interesting the baseball net of fate would show up again and Dusty Baker would later become the manager of the Chicago Cubs.
To get back to that original baseball net of despair Rod Beck would later suffer some more arm injuries and continue to struggle with drug addiction. The baseball Gods seem to cast Beck another baseball net of hope by giving him the opportunity to pitch in front of another great group of fans with the Boston Red Sox. Beck's arm troubles were too much to handle and Beck was soon cast another negative baseball net when he was released by the Red Sox. Beck would get another shot as he would resurface and a baseball net of fans would come to love hanging out with Rod Beck in Des Moines, Iowa.
Beck would end up being signed to a minor league contract so he could try and capture another opportunity through a baseball net of positive energy. Beck would pitch for the Iowa Cubs and actually take up residence in a trailer at the ballpark. In a baseball net of gratitude Beck would often invited hoards of Cubs fans up to his trailers after the games to celebrate Iowa Cubs and other positive happens that could be caught in a baseball net of generosity.
