Exercise and weight loss all bad ...?

Hello everyone, I am 24yrs old 5 foot 6 and a size of 12, my problem is not my weight, my fitness ... But to say that I lose a few kilos and tone a bit ... I am a nursing student so r. have a job active, but they need to exercise more. Being a student I can not afford the exorbitant prices gymnastics and swimming is £ 4.50 per hour. I liked running, but unfortunately you can not do that as crutchels ended last year when it was my kneecap on the side of my leg, which means that the cartlidge is so marked and damaged execution is only a total of not going according to my physio-I used to be a size 10 (UK) and I feel that although I acknowledge that I am not "fat" I'm big for me. Totally not interested in dieting as I stay in shape, but does anyone know of any good exercises besides squats to tone me up (thighs and TUM) without costing money or kill my knee more! Hi I've had in my knees disposal operations cartilage and I still have problems with them however, I found that really helps to ice skate in the knees, and the tone of me, I have little money or property, but do it once every 2 weeks and my knee feels great. You can also ride a bike or if you have a bike. HTH
